The City is planning to rezone a six-block area in the far West Village, which would affect buildings between Washington and Greenwich streets, from 10th to 12th streets. If the rezoning is approved, the area would create height limits for new buildings and all proposed developments would have to be approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission.
