Concerns Are Risen over Inclusion of Community Boards in Rezoning Plans for the Broadway Triangle

Many North Brooklyn community members and representatives expressed concerns over whether Community Board 3 (CB 3) was given the appropriate space to provide input on the Broadway Triangle Rezoning plans. These advocates argue that the rezoning and urban renewal plans and benefits border and will affect CB 3’s area. Other officials such as the Housing Preservation Department Commissioner Rafael Cestero stated that CB 3 would not be affected by the rezoning plan. The City Council is expected to discuss the Broadway Triangle plan on November 30, 2009.
